About us
We started our journey with little knowledge about crofting, farming and unaware of all the other obstacles we had and still have to face. Our aim is to become self sufficient in the future. Our long life voyage has just started. Learning by doing and everyday is a new adventure.
Andrea
My background is in social care. I like to be creative and I am always up for new challenges. Working outside, being connected with nature and showing our children a different way of life is my favourite part.
Gareth
I am a Marine Engineer and lucky enough to work locally and have a good work-life balance. I enjoy being outside and hard, manual labour. I also love to find solutions to problems or finding out how to do awkward tasks for ourselves.
Children
For the kids the croft is an amazing playground. They enjoy to be outside and have the animals around them every day. They always like to help and learn new skills.
Oscar
Oscar came to us as a rescue puppy. He is a lurcher and has a lot of space to run about, chasing the geese and playing with the kids. He takes care of the animals and is a lovely friend for all of us.
