Children are always welcome at our croft. The children have the opportunity to connect with nature and our animals. Being active outdoors, learning new emotional and practical skills is an essential part for their wellbeing.
Going out, exploring nature, is the best way to learn more about the space around them. The children are outside as much as they like.
Collecting shells from the beach, finding sticks or picking flowers, everything can be used to make something special. This is great fun in any weather.
Being creative and using the things they have collected, or just re-using old material, is a great way of recycling. From dried flower pictures, to hanging water bottles, it makes them feel proud to look at their creations.
A healthy balance between todays daily technology and outdoor play. This can be challenging, but it is so beneficial on the long term basis. They are learning something new everyday, like using wooden blocks as stepping stones.
Trust is a key factor for a free outdoor play and explore. It takes time for every child and animal to get used to a new environment, so they take their time to build trust.
Children need to feel respected equally, but also have different needs. If they feel respected, they will feel safe. As a result, they can be more confident to explore and discover.
